Important: Brains required when posting Since we've all in length, discussed FPS limits, zombies and airsoft being a gentleman's game. Lets now discuss the more " boring" and less interesting topic of what it is to be honest. Before some of you henyos decide to re write the dictionary and give your version of what being honest is all about, allow me to quote Dictionary.com on what the defined meaning of the word is. hon·es·ty /ˈɒnəsti/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[on-uh-stee] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun, plural -ties. 1. the quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness. 2. truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness. 3. freedom from deceit or fraud. Synonyms 1. integrity, probity, rectitude. See honor. 2. candor, veracity. —Antonyms 1. dishonesty. Being the thread starter, here is my basic take of this issue. If you are not honest with the small things in life, you then have the tendency not to be honest with the big things. Put that in context with airsoft, if you have a perennial and habitual issue with honesty, then chances are, when nobody is looking around, you are dishonest in the way you play the game. If you feel that bribery, corruption and white harmless lies are the norm, then it won't be that hard to once in a while be compromising with integrity.. So the issue here really is the heart of the person. The very fiber of what he is made of.His faith, How he was raised and what his values are. How he views things in life... What you are on the game site is just a refection of who you are in real life when no eye is looking upon you. So the next time we discuss Zombies, undead and the likes, lets all look in the mirror, me included. Because you might not be a zombie in airsoft but you may be a zombie in other areas of your life. And believe me, there is really no difference. sir sax...
sir, Good day...asking permission to repost your Issue of "lets talk about honesty" in our website ...
thank u and regards.
"Sure by all means."
Thanks for the courtesySAX ISIP

i dream that someday ang airsoft tournament wla na marshal. na ang player na lang ma call sa lawas nya hit & gwa sa gamesite.
this is the reason why i'm pushing to give recognition to team(s) who has the most Sportmanship Award coz they serve as role model for NAF & our beloved sport, AIRSOFT.
If they are Champions and wins the Best Sportmanship Award at the same time, so much the better.

na mean ko imposible torny nga way marshal nga base lang sa honesty...malabo PERIOD........indi na ya malikawan ang reklamo....kay te there can never be perfect marshalling which is understandable because of the nature of the sport.....in the process ma yellow/red card ka.........kag to think nga diri sa negros.....gamu gani tournament nga may marshal ayhan pa honest honest lang nga hampang......

Honesty is ideal for this sport but i think it is impossible to impose.. Pag start ko airsoft about a year and a half ago, sa first tournament ko may marshall na meaning damu na gid wala ga ako sang una pa..hehehe peace yo!

That is why i agree that its not impossible kung honest lang tanan! Just wondering why during sunday games, mahimo man wala marshal. Well, it may be just a DREAM but who knows...

in tournaments it would be hard but if each and every player would do that much more fun.. if one of the team here at NAF could do that at a tournament level why cant everyone else??? the thing with "what if he didnt feel the bb hitting him" is a part of the game but on my side of story its very seldom to happen that you wont be able to notice it and it will if you really ignore it....
what do you think is the main barrier for us not to be HONEST?maybe its on our preference on why we play airsoft...
If we play FIRST for FUN i dont see any reason to be dishonest.. if WE play for other reasons first then theres a game that needs a marshall to officiate...
IF WE WANT WE CAN...WE JUST SIMPLY DONT WANT....SO WE CANT!!

kung indi sya ka batyag, basi pwede man na tiruhon lang liwat.
kami sang una teka-teka (150fps below) gin suguran. mas hinay pa gid. colored pa bb's tag P50 ang kilo. over 60 members, makahampang kami wala marshal. may salawayon man gid pero ilisipon.

NAF has adopted the Filipino Airsoft Players (FAP) rules and it states that ( airsoftcouncil.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nafboard&action=display&thread=15 ): 03. No Hit Call. - Hit players to acknowledge by shouting HIT, DEAD, or OUT. 09. Umpire's decision is final. 1). The player has to call himself out or HIT, not the Umpire or the Marshall. 2). The Umpire is only needed to kick out player(s) who don't acknowledge hits by shouting HIT, DEAD, or OUT. 3). The FAP rules have existed since 2002 and the Action Games League (AGL) Game Rules from which it was copied (with consent of AGL founder sir Almighty) was created in 1985. 4). The Philippines has the oldest AirSoft game rules printed in AirSoft magazines and then posted in AirSoft forums worldwide when the internet came along.

Yes, these are the stated rules.....the problem is it has never been STRICTLY enforced in officiating whether in tournaments here or outside negros.....if a particular team whose players are so honest that they stick to the rules as you have said it would be a big disadvantage to their part since not all teams are going to abide with it UNLESS very stiff penalties will be imposed for non compliance with the rules.....lets go back to reality.....i have played in tournaments here and outside bacolod and in almost all teams here there are always circumstances of non- acknowledgement of HIT when an operator is not clearly seen by a marshall.....i bet you have experienced that as well.......solution: Stiffer penalties / 1:1 ratio of marshalls to operators......or else these rules will remain like THEORIES learned in school.....

Good discussion mga sir! Going back to the topic of honesty. Life is about character and integrity. If you would recall our great grandparents would try to pass on the saying " halongan mo gid ngalan mo or apilyedo ta ha". It speaks about the character attached to the name of a person.
I agree we could never reach that point that all will become honest in life or in the game of airsoft. BUT, I also do believe that everyone could AT LEAST TRY TO PURSUE HONESTY in every game whether, there be marshals or not. This is really an issue of the heart. As the scripture says; " out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks". Kung mayo sa sulod , mayo man na sa gwa. Kung indi mayo sa sulod, ma lutaw gid na sa ginahimo kag ginahambal.
My dream for NAF that someday people would see us, as airsoft players with Character and Integrity (indi tikalon, indi kutos, professional mag hampang, ma amigohon, etc...) Indeed it's not just about the winning but more on how we play and conduct ourselves as airsoft players in and out of the game. And this would start from each one of us (including me).
May NAF produce and transform new breed of airsofters with CHARACTER & INTEGRITY.
God bless us all!
